Tribute

Roy Lichtenstein (October 27, 1923 – September 29, 1997) was a prominent American pop artist, whose work borrowed heavily from popular advertising and comic book styles, which he himself described as being "as artificial as possible".

Simple forms or lines has always been an obsession of mine and, after watching an hour long interview with one of the great pop artisits of our times, I decided that a simple tribute to the likes of Warhol, Lichstenstein or others of the 60's movement was in order. I love "benday dots" as they make things precise and direct and explempify the great American creatif process as I saw it many years ago.

The AXA Center in NY has a grand mural, painted by Roy Lichestenstein. If you live in NY or are in NYC Take a lunch, walk around, it's free and grand!
