The resilience of doing the same gesture, day after day, lifting that leg, smelling the grass, chasing that squirrel, regardless of what tragedy has befelled on you the previous day. "So much rain? why don't we go out, I love the rain!" Waiting as the master musters up enough courage to go for that much anticipated and needed walk. Ah, the resilience of dogs!
